| In December 1999, the GIO and county and city agencies jointly investigated 229 cable TV operators (channel 4s). (Sixty of these investigations were made after 8 p.m.) The investigations included 76 investigations of primary broadcast facilities and 153 investigations of secondary broadcast facilities. Three primary broadcast facilities and 64 secondary broadcast facilities were suspected of violating administrative regulations. One of the secondary broadcast facilities was suspected of infringing copyrights. |
