Patent, Trademark Examiner Qualification Statutes Enforced |
On 2 February 2000, the Presidential Office promulgated an amendment to the Organic Law of the Intellectual Property Office and the Patent Examiner Qualification Statute and the Trademark Examiner Qualification Statute. This legislation had been formally approved by the Legislative Yuan on 14 January 2000. The amendment to the Organic Law provides that the qualifications of professional patent and trademark examiners hired by the Intellectual Property Office be established by the Executive Yuan. The two qualification statutes provide additional details regarding the qualification matters, training, and promotion of senior patent and trademark examiners, patent and trademark examiners, and assistant patent and trademark examiners. |
